YWAM Leeds
Live and Speak: truth.
Purpose statement
YWAM Leeds is a discipleship community dedicated to
a lifestyle that will infuse ‘'radical simplicity’ into our culture,
and challenge the very mindsets of our global community. We want
to live and speak in a way that communicates the truth of the
innate value of people in Leeds, the UK and throughout the
World. The forum for our voice is through the arts and media so
that we will not only be heard, but that we will impact
your sight and your emotions.
Vision Statement
To develop a creative urban environment that produces men and
women of the Kingdom of God. Our goal is that through curriculum
driven training, discipleship, and the involvement in a variety of
ministries and mission opportunities our team will develop in godly
character and life changing experiences.

The movement of the cloth market from the bridge into Briggate itself in 1684 created the core of the modern city of Leeds. The population grew from 10,000
at the end of the seventeenth century to 30,000 at the end of the eighteenth. With its churches, chapels and meeting houses, Assembly Rooms, Infirmary and its new
Cloth Halls, Leeds became one of the busiest and most prosperous urban centres in the north of England.
The Industrial Revolution set Leeds off at a gallop. The population grew to over 150,000 by 1840 and the place was transformed.
1888 City Art Gallery Opened and in Leeds became a city in 1893.
Leeds is now the UK's largest financial centre outside of London.
the voice
Art and Dance Companys
Gathering people to enable creative expression of the world they live in. Our expectation is to use art and dance as a way of speaking into the pain we feel and the pain we see around us. As we tell our stories we hope that we will form bonds with each other with our community, with our world that will change us all.

The idea behind this is still in developent in regards to practical logistics. Right now its something that we value and want to be a part of YWAM Leeds. We want this ministry to be more than just helping people with in the community but helping transform how a community of individuals sees themselves and each other. Restoration isn't just about setting things right but helping to reclaim dignity and value in communities of individuals.
